13. It’s nice to see your kids getting on well & coming home with little stories about their day- there aren’t as many of these when you’re at home with them for much of the holidays.
14. A clean house – when you clean the house it stays clean, until they return from school anyhow.
15. Lower electric bills, as TV and PCs are not on all day, and the front door is not constantly been left open.
17. Going to supermarket on your own.
18. Your parental duties are kind of off the hook for the duration of school, so you can relax a bit.
19. Kids learning from and teaching others.
20. Having adult conversations with no little ears listening.
21. The return of after-school activities.
22. Easier to keep food in the presses.
23. They get to be with their friends and be social during the day, so less playdate organising required.
24. Being able to use your phone/tablet, without constantly being asked can they play games on it.
And finally…
25. Going to the bathroom uninterrupted.
