Method

Make it together.

  1. Put the pot onto the hob and turn onto a medium heat.
  2. Pour the groundnut oil into the pot so that it can warm up.
  3. Peel and chop the onion into small chunks.
  4. Peel and chop the ginger finely.
  5. Put both the ginger and onion into the pot and stir well.
  6. Next, peel and roughly chop the carrots and celery.
  7. Add the celery and carrots to the pot and stir.
  8. Last to peel, core and chop is the apple.
  9. Add the apple to the pot and stir around.
  10. Pour the stock over all the vegetables and bring the pot to a simmer.
  11. Cover the pot with the lid and leave to simmer for approximately 45 mins.
  12. After which time the vegetables should all be tender.
  13. Turn off the pot and leave for 15 mins before blending and serving.
